Far Cry 4 - ENG plays FR - c'est quoi, ça?
20:52 CDT - 07:01 CDT (10.15 hours)start time: 2015-08-15 20:52 -0500
stop time: 2015-08-16 07:01 -0500
duration: 10+ hours
peak viewers: 22
time to reach 10+ viewers: 22 minutes
number of followers at end of stream: 52
Lots of firsts on this one.
- first 10+ hour stream (whoops)
- first time to 20+ simultaneous viewers
- most followers I had ever gained from one stream
- hit the 50+ follower mark
- 1,000 comments during the stream
- first time getting transcoding options
And the last one was really a curse more than anything. Why? Because when you get transcoding options, the stream stops and, well, sometimes it starts.
One of my friends hardly noticed a difference. Meanwhile, both of the devices I was using to monitor the stream had to be restarted manually. I had something like 20+ viewers at the point that transcoding happened, and if I remember right, I was lucky to get 10+ after that. Granted, this is possibly indicative of how many people were actively watching the stream, but it's still like, if this is going to happen whenever I get transcoding, no thank you.
I also almost had to quit streaming because my DS4 kept getting low on battery. Oddly enough, the previous night, I had been able to charge it just fine using my laptop, but during this stream, every time I tried it, like 2-5 minutes later it would "stick" in whatever position it was in and then officially disconnect from the PS4 like a minute after that. This led to some semi amusing moments, but wasn't all that funny given that this had been my most successful stream to date and I didn't want to quit because of a battery issue.
But ultimately, I was lucky to finally find a wall wart USB adapter that was compatible with the DS4 so that I could keep streaming (both of my USB ports are occupied on the PS4).
